The Fenix HT18R rechargeable hunting flashlight belongs to tactical lights with longest throw in the offer. Its powerful reflector offers a range of up to 1100 meters and output of up to 2800 lumens (ANSI). The light source is the high-performance LED SFT-70 from the American manufacturer Luminus. It is powered by a single Li-ion 21700 type battery with a 5000 mAh capacity (battery included in the package). The Fenix HT18R LED flashlight features a total of six white light functions with up to 42 hours of runtime, including strobe and SOS flashing. Using the HT18R
Press the main tactical button at the end of the flashlight to turn on/off, press the button lightly for instant activation. Press the secondary button to switch between power modes at any time during operation. To switch to flash mode with the flashlight on, longer press down the toggle button, press the button again to switch to SOS. To turn the flashlight directly into strobe mode, press and hold the toggle button.
Memory for last set mode - the flashlight has a memory and will always turn on in the last set mode, except strobe and SOS.
Changing the battery - unscrew the end cap of the flashlight and insert the battery with the plus pole facing in. Then fully tighten the end cap again.
Charging - Remove the dust cap and plug the USB-C charging cable into the flashlight's charging port. During charging, the indicator light against the charging connector is red. When fully charged, it will light up green. After charging is complete, reseal the dust cap. Normal charging time is approximately 3.5 hours for a fully discharged flashlight. The flashlight cannot be used while charging.
Battery charge status indication - Each time the flashlight is turned on, the indicator LED against the charging connector is activated for three seconds. If the indicator LED is green, the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If the LED is red, the battery is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% capacity remaining.
Intelligent overheat protection - If the temperature of the flashlight exceeds 65 °C, it will automatically reduce the power. Once the temperature drops below 65 °C, the highest power can be used again.
Discharged battery warning - When the voltage drops below the set level the flashlight will reduce the brightness to a lower level until it reaches 30 lumens output. When the lowest power level is reached, the battery charge indicator will flash red to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.
Warning
- Use only high quality 21700 rechargeable Li-ion batteries with protective electronics.
- Insert the batteries with the positive pole towards the flashlight head.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after extended use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight is flickering, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost dead – charge it or replace it.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty – clean them with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.
- Head, body or back of the flashlight is loose, tighten them.
