The Fenix PD32R rechargeable tactical flashlight offers a high lumen output of up to 1400 lumens (ANSI) and an impressive range of up to 344 meters. The superior range (relative to the size of the flashlight) was achieved by using a high-end LED Luminus SFT-40, which produces a very well-focused beam. The flashlight can be powered by a single Li-ion 18650 battery, which is included, or from two disposable CR123A batteries. The battery is recharged via a USB-C connector cleverly hidden under a screw cap at the head of the flashlight, where there is also an indication of its charge level. The Fenix PD32R features five different light modes, allowing you to choose between high power and long life (up to 70 hours). It also has a flash mode for attracting attention and for emergency situations, which can be quickly activated from off state by holding down the tactical button. The PD32R impresses not only with its compact size and great performance, but also with its dual-spring construction that makes it great at resisting recoil when used on a weapon. On a long gun, it can be controlled by a Fenix AER-02 cable switch. We can therefore recommend it for use in security forces as well as for general outdoor and hunting use.
All flashlight parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproofness, throw and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Using the flashlight
From factory, the battery may have an insulating plate. Remove from battery before first use.
Press the tactical button on the end of the flashlight to turn it on, press the button halfway for instant activation. The flashlight remembers the last selected mode (except strobe). The light modes (except strobe) can be cycled by pressing the button lightly while the flashlight is on. To activate the strobe, hold the button fully down for 0.5 seconds (can also be from off state). Pressing it will return the flashlight to its original mode. Pressing the button turns the flashlight off.
Intelligent overheat protection - Due to the flashlight's high 1400 lumens output, it does not experience a temperature rise. If the temperature exceeds 60 °C, an automatic power reduction occurs. Once the temperature drops below 60 °C, the highest power can be used again.
Low battery warning - the flashlight automatically switches to the lowest mode and flashes 3 times every five minutes.
Charging - Unscrew the protective nut under the head of the flashlight and use the included USB-C cable to plug it into a computer, mains USB adapter or USB car adapter (not included). Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can be used for charging. During charging, the indicator LED opposite the charging connector glows red, after a full charge it glows green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 3 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from a memory effect, so the flashlight can be recharged at any time. The flashlight cannot be switched on while charging.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed part in the flashlight head yourself, it will violate the warranty.
- Use only high quality 3V CR123A batteries and 18650 Li-ion batteries to prevent damage to the flashlight, for example due to leakage of substances from the battery.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight is flickering, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost dead – replace them.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are clogged – clean them with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.
- Head, body or back of the flashlight are loose – add lubricant to the sealing rings and tighten both the head and the end of the flashlight firmly.
Warranty
Five years warranty on the flashlight and two years on the battery.
