The flashlight is powered by digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (when they are slowly discharging). In addition, the flashlight is equipped with a battery charge indication in the side button. The second generation of Fenix UC35 V2.0 flashlight impresses not only with its smaller size and extended range, but also with a tactical switch and the possibility of attaching cable switch AER-02. We can therefore also recommend it for use in security forces, hunting and other demanding activities.
All parameters of the flashlight (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.
Fenix UC35 XP-L Flashlight Specifications
- A top performance Cree XP-L HI V3 LED with a 50,000 hour lifetime is used.
- Six light modes: Turbo 1000 lumens (2.1 hours) -> 350 lumens (4 hours) -> 150 lumens (9.9 hours) -> 50 lumens (27.8 hours) -> 1 lumen (750 hours) - Strobe 1000 lumens (variable frequency strobe).
- Light output and run times are measured with the included Li-ion 18650 battery with 3400mAh capacity.
- Because of the mechanical reverse polarity protection, the batteries must have a protruding plus terminal. Therefore, older Fenix batteries with a flat plus pole cannot be used.
- The flashlight is equipped with intelligent overheat protection.
- Digitally controlled for constant brightness, low battery warning. Supported supply voltage 3 - 6V.
- Rechargeable Li-ion battery type 18650 can be purchased as a replacement battery.
- Alternatively, two disposable lithium batteries of type CR123A can be used for power supply (do not try to recharge them in the flashlight).
- Protection against accidental insertion of the battery in reverse (reverse polarity).
- Dimensions 14.0 cm (length) x 2.54 cm (reflector diameter) x 2.35 cm (body diameter).
- Weight 89 grams (without batteries), 139 grams including battery.
- Made of Type T6 aerospace hardened aluminum, durable surface - Type III hard anodized.
- Impact resistant to drops from a height of 1 meter.
- The flashlight has memory and will always turn on in the last set mode (not applicable for flash modes).
- Light-gauge threads with increased wear resistance.
- Substantial surface grooves for better grip, design prevents the flashlight from rotating on uneven surfaces.
- Waterproof and dustproof to IP68 standard (tested underwater at a depth of 2 meters for 30 minutes).
- Removable steel clasp with titanium coating.
- Hardened ultra clear glass lens with anti-reflective surface.
- Smooth parabolic reflector for light cone with output 266 meters (17700 cd).
- Tactical switch at the end of the flashlight (momentary on/off function).
- The flashlight comes with a wrist lanyard, belt pouch, Fenix 18650 battery with 3400 mAh capacity, USB cable and spare o-rings.
- As optional accessories, you can purchase, for example: AER-02 cable switch, diffuser AOD-S, red filter AOF-S+, green AOF-S+ filter, blue AOF-S+ filter
- The flashlight can also be mounted on a long gun using the quick-release ALG-15 rail mount, the Fenix ALG-00 gun rail mount, the metal magnetic barrel mount, plastic magnetic barrel mount.
- The flashlight can also be purchased with USB mains adapter and USB car adapter, bike holder, special Fenix bike holder,BikeBlock bike helmet light holder, the AB02 side case and the ALP-10S case.
Use
From manufacture, there may be a black insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery. Remove it from the battery pack before first use. Press the switch located on the end of the flashlight to turn it on, press the button for immediate activation. Press the side button at the head of the flashlight to switch between power modes at any time during operation. To switch to strobe mode, hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds.
Intelligent overheat protection - if the temperature of the flashlight rises above 60°C, it will automatically start to reduce power in gradual steps until its temperature stabilizes. As soon as the temperature of the lamp drops below 60°C, the power will automatically increase again to the original level. Operation at the highest power mode is thus not limited by time, but only by temperature.
Iindication of battery charge status - every time the flashlight is switched on, the indication LED in the side button of the flashlight is activated for three seconds. If the indicator LED is green the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If it is red, the battery is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% battery capacity remaining. (Only works when using a 18650 Li-ion battery).
Charging - flip off the rubber cap of the charging connector on the side of the flashlight and plug in the included cable (micro USB connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer or USB adapter to the mains or car. During charging, the side button lights up red. When fully charged, it will light up green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 3.5-4 hours. During charging, the flashlight can be used, but only in the 50 lumen light mode.
Discharged battery warning - the flashlight will gradually switch automatically to the lowest mode and the indicator LED in the side button will start flashing red.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the head of the flashlight yourself, it will break the warranty..
- If using disposable CR123A batteries, do not attempt to charge them in the flashlight.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight is flickering, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost dead – replace them or charge the battery.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are clogged – clean them with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.
- Head, body or back of the flashlight are loose – add lubricant to the sealing rings and tighten both the head and the end of the flashlight firmly.
Warranty
Five year warranty on the flashlight, two year warranty on the battery.
