The new generation of the compact Fenix HL16 headlamp delivers up to 450 lumens (ANSI) and range up to 104 meters. Power is provided by three commercially available disposable AAA batteries. The light source is a state-of-the-art LED Luminus SST-20 with white light tint, which is housed in the main reflector. The red LED Everlight 2835 is used for additional illumination. A total of 6 power modes are available, including an SOS flash mode for emergency situations. The headlamp is fitted with a wide comfortable strap. The strap is perforated for fast sweat wicking and has reflective elements to ensure good passive visibility when running on the road. Weighing just 97 grams, the Fenix HL16 serves well as a running headlamp as well as a headlamp for camping, hiking and other outdoor activities. With a choice of several colors and a reasonable price, the HL16 is also great for kids.

The completely black version has no reflective elements on the strap.

All headlamp parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use

White light is turned on by pressing the right button for 0.5 seconds, red light is turned on by holding the left button. The white light has a memory and always turns on in the last selected mode. The red light is always switched on in the 5 lumen steady mode. Further power levels can be switched at any time during operation by pressing the corresponding button. The headlamp is switched off by holding down any button for 0.5 seconds. The white and red light cannot be activated simultaneously.

The control buttons can be locked to prevent spontaneous switching on e.g. when transporting in luggage - hold one or both buttons down for 3 seconds. To unlock, hold both buttons for 3 seconds.

Overheat Protection - If the headlamp's internal temperature exceeds 65°C, it will automatically reduce power.

Warning

• Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, it will violate the warranty.
• Never use different types of batteries or batteries with different capacities.
• Always check thoroughly that the batteries are inserted into the headlamp with the correct polarity.
• If the headlamp is blinking, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
