Fenix HM60R is a high-performance rechargeable headlamp that offers a luminous flux up to 1300 lumens with a 120 meter beam in the main reflector. Second reflector with an output up to 350 lumens, it has a very wide and continuous light trail with a neutral shade of light (neutral white). The advantage of this shade is a more natural and contrasting presentation of colors in the terrain. The control of both LEDs is independent of each other, and the use of the headlamp is therefore very simple (however, the cones cannot be combined). The headlamp also has a red light with power of 5 lumens. The package also includes a rechargeable Li-ion battery type 18650 with a capacity of 3400 mAh, which is charged directly in the headlight via USB- C connector. In addition, in the 130 and 350 lumen modes, the headlamp offers a special function called 'FREQUENCY SENSING' in the long-range reflector, when in these modes it detects movement and can automatically adjust the power according to the running speed (step frequency) the selected value. It is therefore suitable for night running, cross-country skiing, hiking, fishing, speleology and work use. The all-metal construction ensures high resistance, optimal cooling and at the same time is fully waterproof according to the IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters underwater.
All parameters of the flashlight (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, range and impact resistance) are measured in compliance with the ANSI/ NEMA FL 1-2009.
Parameters of the rechargeable Fenix HM60R headlamp
- A powerful Cree XP-G2 LED with a neutral shade, a Luminus SST-40 LED with a daytime white light shade and two complementary red Everlight 2835 LEDs are used, all with a lifetime of 50,000 hours of light.

- Memory of the last set power mode of the longrange reflector (with the exception of turning it off in the highest mode, then next time it will be turned on in the second highest mode for safety reasons).
- Memory of the last set power mode of the wide reflector.
- The headlamp can be rotated in the holder in a wide range and can be set to the desired lighting direction.
- Made of solid aluminum alloy with hard-to-scratch surface - Type III hard anodized.
- Waterproof according to the IP68 standard (tested under water at a depth of 2 meters).
- Headlamp dimensions: 8.5 cm x 4.5 cm x 4.5 cm.
- Weight 157 grams (including battery and strap).
- Impact resistant to drops from a height of 2 meters.
- Hardened ultra clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating.
- Package includes headlamp, Fenix 18650 3400 mAh battery, USB-C cable, head straps and spare o-ring.
- For the headlamp it is possible to buy a case Fenix APB-20, Fenix APB-30, USB power adapter and USB car adapter, main strap, top strap.
- For easy attachment to the helmet, it is possible to purchase a holder Fenix ALG-03, ALG-04.
Using the Fenix HM60R headlamp
From manufacture, there may be an insulation cap inside the flashlight on the battery. Before first use, remove it from the battery.
- Powered off headlamp will turn on to the last used high beam mode by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds (except when turned off in highest mode, then next time it will turn on in the second highest mode).
- When the headlamp is turned off, it turns on to the last used wide reflector mode with a double quick press of the button.
- When the headlamp is on, it is turned off by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
- When the headlamp is on, you can switch between the high and wide reflectors by holding down the button for 1.2 seconds. It is not possible to start both spotlights at the same time.
If the headlamp is on, short presses of the button can cyclically switch power modes in the order of 30 - 130 - 350 - 1300 lumens (when the spotlight is switched on). The flashlight has a memory for the spotlight and will always turn on in the last set mode (except when turned off in the highest mode, then next time it will turn on in the second highest mode). When the wide reflector is switched on, the power modes can be switched cyclically by short presses of the button in the order of 5 lumens red light - 5 lumens white light - 70 lumens - 350 lumens - 5 lumens red SOS signal. For a wide reflector, the lamp also has a memory and will always turn on in the last set mode.
Frequency Sensing - this function automatically adjusts the power according to the running speed in modes of 130 and 350 lumens on the spotlight. The standard beam of the headlamp is set to 150 steps per minute. At a lower speed, the performance will gradually decrease to 70%, and at a higher speed, on the contrary, it will increase the performance up to 150% of normal.
Battery charge status indication: After a short press of the button (headlight must be switched off), the LED battery charge status indicator in the button is activated. Green light means the battery is 85-100% charged, flashing green light 50-85%, red light 25-50%, flashing red light less than 25%.
Locking the headlamp against unintentional switching on: Loosen the battery cap of the headlamp by a quarter turn, this will break the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on. The button can also be locked electronically – with the headlamp off, hold down the button for 3 seconds. After locking, the flashlight flashes red. To unlock, hold the button for 3 seconds again.
Protection against overheating: If the temperature of the headlamp exceeds 55°C, it will automatically reduce the power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. As soon as the temperature drops below 55°C, it is possible to use the highest performance modes again.
Discharged battery warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will start flashing red. However, the headlamp will continue to shine until the battery is completely discharged. Note: the low battery warning is only calibrated to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Charging
Unscrew the waterproof nut on the side that covers the USB-C connector. Plug the charging USB-C cable into the headlamp and its other end into the USB connector of the computer, USB network adapter or USB car adapter. Any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can also be used for charging. The side button lights up red while charging and turns green when fully charged. The charging time of a fully discharged battery takes about 3 hours. The used Li-ion battery does not suffer from a memory effect, so the headlamps can be recharged at any time. After charging, tighten the waterproof nut again.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- If using disposable CR123A batteries, do not try to charge them in the headlight.
- Remove the batteries from the flashlight if you are not going to use it for a long time or if the batteries are already discharged. Otherwise, some low-quality batteries may damage the headlamp.
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- Batteries are almost dead – charge them or replace them.
- Headlight lock is enabled – tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the headlamp, two years on the battery.
