The new generation of rechargeable headlamp Fenix HM61R Amber V2.0 offers a luminous flux of up to 1600 lumens of neutral white light (4500 K) with an afterglow of up to >162 meters. It is also equipped with red Everlight LEDs. It is powered by one 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery with a 3400 mAh capacity, which is recharged directly in the flashlight via a magnetic connector, in an emergency, two disposable lithium batteries can also be used for power supply CR123A battery. The battery also has a built-in USB-C connector, so it can be easily charged even outside the headlamp without a magnetic cable. The indicator LED is built into the control button, thanks to which you will always know when to recharge the battery. The end of the torch is magnetic, so it can be easily attached to anything iron. The HM61R Amber V2.0 has eight different lighting modes that allow you to choose between high performance and long life (up to 400 hours). The flashlight is powered by a digitally controlled constant current to guarantee a constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (while they are slowly discharging).
The all-metal construction ensures high resistance, optimal cooling and at the same time it is fully waterproof according to the IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters under water. The practicality of the headlamp increases the possibility of removing the light from the holder and using it as a pocket or work lamp. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with a removable steel clip, so you can easily attach it to a pocket or strap. The Fenix HM61R Amber V2.0 multi-functional flashlight is the ideal companion for various sports activities, trips to nature as well as at home and at work.
The HM61R Amber V2.0 version is specially adapted, it differs from the standard version in the following points
- The battery developed for us is equipped with its own USB-C connector.
- The diode has a neutral shade of white light instead of cool white.
- High mode has an output of 400 lumens instead of 600 lumens. The durability in high mode has thus been extended compared to the standard version of HM61R V2.0.
- The stronger red light has a maximum output of up to 10 lumens.
- Memory for the red light modes.
- It turns on into a white light mode when unlocked.
All parameters of the flashlight (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in compliance with the ANSI/ NEMA FL 1-2009.

Using the headlamp
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery. Before first use, remove it from the battery.
- When the headlamp is off, it will turn on to the last used white light mode (except for the highest white light mode of 1600 lumens) by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- When the headlamp is off, it will turn on to the last used red light mode by double click of the button.
- When the headlamp is on, it can be turned off by pressing the button for 0.5 seconds.
If the headlamp is switched on, short presses of the button can cyclically switch power modes in the order of 5 - 50 - 150 - 400 - 1600 lumens (when switched on to white light) or red 1 lumen - red 10 lumens - red flashing (when switched on to red light). The flashlight has a memory and will always turn on in the last set mode (applies to both white and red light, with the exception of the highest white light mode of 1600 lumens).
Switch between colors: When the headlamp is on, you can switch between white and red light by holding the side button for 1.2 seconds.
Protection against overheating: During long-term use of the headlamp at high power modes, a large amount of heat accumulates. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 65°C or higher, it will automatically reduce power to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 65°C, it will then allow the user to reselect high modes again.
Battery charge status indication: If the headlamp is switched off, one short press of the button turns on the battery charge status indication for 3 seconds, which is shown by the colored backlight of the button:
- Constant Green: 100% - 85%
- Green flashing: 85% - 50%
- Constant Red: 50% - 25%
- Red flashing: 25% or less (recharge the headlamp as soon as possible)
The indication is only active with rechargeable Li-ion 18650 battery.
Charging: plug the charging cable into the USB connector of the computer, the USB adapter in the network or in the car. Attach the cable to the charging pad on the headlamp, it will attach itself using magnets. During charging, the indicator light in the button lights up red, when charging is complete, it lights up green. All red light modes and all white light modes except the highest can be used while charging. The charging time will be extended accordingly. Charging a fully discharged Fenix ARB-L18-3400U V2.0 battery takes about 4 hours.
Low voltage warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If this happens at Low power, the battery charge indicator will flash to remind you to recharge or replace the battery in time. Note: This feature is only active with a rechargeable Li-ion 18650 battery.
Lock the headlamp against accidental power on: when the headlamp is off, press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds, the flashlight will flash four times in red mode to indicate the locked status. Unlock: when the headlamp is locked, press the switch for 3 seconds, the flashlight will flash red four times and activate Eco white light mode. If the headlamp is locked, it will flash four times after clicking or briefly pressing the switches, indicating the locked state. Unintentional switching on in luggage can also be prevented by opening the battery cap of the headlamp by a quarter turn, this will break the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed part in the head of the lamp yourself, this will void the warranty.
- If using a disposable CR123A batteries, do not try to charge them in the flashlight.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings must also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost empty – charge it or replace it.
- The contacts inside the lamp are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The back of the lamp is loose – tighten it.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the flashlight, two-year warranty on the battery.
