The Fenix HM65R rechargeable headlamp is characterized by a light magnesium alloy construction, high resistance to water and falling, a unique design with two reflectors and with a total output up to 1400 lumens. One reflector creates a well-focused light beam with an afterglow up to 163 meters and the other reflector has a very wide and continuous light trail. The luminous flux of the spotlight is up to 1000 lumens, the reflector with a floodlight offers a maximum output of 400 lumens and a neutral shade of light. The control of both LEDs is independent of each other, the light from both reflectors can be combined arbitrarily to achieve a light flux of up to 1400 lumens. The long-distance reflector offers four lighting levels and the wide reflector three modes. It is powered by one 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh, which is included in the package and is charged via a modern USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. In case of emergency, the headlamp can be powered by two disposable CR123A batteries.
The headlamp is made of magnesium alloy, which is a third lighter than aluminum. Its construction is fully dustproof and waterproof to a depth of 2 meters according to the IP68 standard and also resistant to falls from a height of 2 meters. The headlamp is also equipped with a battery life extension function. During prolonged use of individual light modes, the headlamp gradually reduces power in small steps for achieving a longer lighting time. The optional shape of the light cone makes this model one of the best and most versatile charging headlamps on the market. The headlamp is suitable for professional use, various sports activities (hiking, camping, running, cycling, skiing...), underground, for fishermen and other uses. Guaranteed to serve you well in every situation!
All parameters of the headlamp (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofing, range and impact resistance) are measured in compliance with the ANSI/ NEMA FL 1-2009.
Fenix HM65R rechargeable headlamp parameters
- The light source in the long-range reflector is a Luminus SST-40 LED, the source in the wide reflector is a Cree XP-G2 R5 with a warmer shade of light, both with a lifespan of 50,000 h of lighting.
- Spotlight: 1000 lumens (4 hours) -> 400 lumens (22 hours) -> 130 lumens (42 hours) -> 50 lumens (90 hours).
- Floodlight: 400 lumens (20 hours) -> 130 lumens (48 hours) -> 8 lumens (280 hours).
- The long-distance reflector creates a light cone with a 163 meter (6677 cd) range, the wide reflector shines up to a distance of 55 meters (762 cd).
- The headlamp comes with a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3400mAh.
- Any rechargeable Li-ion battery Fenix 18650 from our offer can be purchased as a spare battery.
- Alternatively, two disposable lithium batteries of the type CR123A can be used for power supply (do not try to charge them in the headlight).
- Due to mechanical protection against polarity reversal the battery must have a raised plus pole. Older Fenix batteries with flat plus pole cannot be used.
- Digital power regulation with life extension function, battery charge status indication.
- Charging via USB-C connector, charging time for a fully discharged battery is approx. 2.5 hours.
- Two switches for convenient operation and with the possibility of locking against accidental switching on in the luggage.
- It is possible to tilt the headlamp in a few steps and thus set the desired lighting direction.
- Made of light and durable magnesium alloy and hardened plastic.
- Impact resistant to drops from a height of 2 meters.
- Headlamp dimensions: 4.0 cm x 5.5 cm x 8.0 cm.
- Weight 147 grams (including battery), 97 grams without battery.
- Waterproof and dustproof according to the IP68 standard (tested under water at a depth of 2 meters for 30 minutes).
- Toughened ultra clear glass lens with anti-reflective surface.
- Package includes Li-ion battery Fenix 18650 3400 mAh, head straps, USB-C charging cable, spare o-ring.
- A set of black straps AFH-02 without reflective elements can also be purchased. Suitable, for example, for hunting, the army or the police.

Using the Fenix HM65R headlamp
The battery may have a black insulating cover from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.
The spotlight is switched on by holding down the right button (approx. 0.5s), the wide reflector is switched on by holding down the left button (0.5s). Light functions are switched by shortly pressing the corresponding button. After switching off, the headlamp remembers the last set mode (only when it is switched off in the highest mode of the spotlight , it will turn on in the second highest mode next time). Both reflectors can be switched on at the same time.
Battery charge status indication: After a short press of any button (headlight must be switched off), the LED indicator of the battery charge status between the buttons is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is more than 80% charged, three lit 60-80%, two 40-60%, one 20-40% and one blinking means the battery is less than 20% charged.
The control buttons can be locked to prevent spontaneous activation, e.g. when transported in luggage - in the off state, press both buttons and hold them for at least 3 seconds, then the headlamp will flash to indicate locking. To unlock, you need to hold both buttons again for three seconds.
Discharged battery warning: when the voltage drops below a certain limit, it automatically switches to a lower power mode, if the battery status indicator starts flashing during lighting, the battery is almost discharged.
Charging: Unfold the cover of the USB-C connector and plug in the included charging cable, plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank or USB adapter into the mains or car (not included in the package). During charging, the status LEDs show the charging progress. When charging is complete, all four light up. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 2.5 hours.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Use only high-quality Li-ion 18650 batteries, if using disposable CR123A batteries, do not try to charge them in the headlight.
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is dead – charge it or replace it.
- The contacts inside the headlight are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the headlamp and two years on the battery.
