The Fenix HM75R Topaz rechargeable headlamp is specifically adapted for the Czech and Slovak market and has several changes and improvements compared to the standard version of the Fenix HM75R headlamp.
- The headlamp also has a combined mode, where the spot- and floodlight reflector can be lit at the same time.
- The latest 18650 battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh is used inside the headlamp instead of 3400 mAh in the standard version.
- The external battery and USB extension cable are not included in the package, making the standalone headlamp cheaper. Both can be purchased separately if needed.
- The spotlight reflector uses an LED with a warmer neutral tint (approx. 4500 K) instead of a cool one.
- The wide reflector uses LEDs with a warm tint (approx. 3000 K) and a high color rendering quality index of CRI 94.5.
- The red light is switched on by double-clicking the button directly from the off state.
- The weakest mode of the red light has been reduced to 2 lumens and, conversely, the flashing has been amplified to 10 lumens and the frequency increased for a more effective warning function.
The parameters have been retained, the maximum output of the spotlight and combined mode is 1600 lumens, the red light has up to 120 lumens. The spotlight reflector with the high-performance LED Luminus SST-40 produces a well-focused light beam with a throw of up to 223 meters, and the second reflector with the powerful LED Luminus SST-20 has a very wide and smooth light path with a throw of 68 meters. A rotary dial on the side of the headlamp switches between long, wide and combination modes.
The headlamp is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion 18650 4000 mAh battery, and can also be purchased with a removable rear battery case with a 21700 5000 mAh battery to significantly extend the lighting duration. The headlamp can also be operated without the battery inside, with only power from the powerbank via USB-C cable (with slightly reduced maximum power). The headlamp is made of lightweight and durable magnesium alloy, its construction is fully dustproof and waterproof according to IP68 standard and also shockproof against falls from a height of 2 meters.
The HM75R Topaz headlamp's excellent performance and durability parameters make it suitable for anyone who wants a strong and reliable partner in extreme conditions. It will serve great at work, for example, rescue workers, but also athletes, climbers, repairmen, hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts. A nice bonus is the very strong red light.
All headlamp parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproofness, throw and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Using the HM75R Topaz headlamp
From the factory, there may be an insulating cap on the battery pack. Remove it before first use.
The headlamp is turned on and off with the rotary switch on the right side. In the first position the headlamp is off, turning it to the second position switches it to the main beam mode, turning it to the third position switches it to the floodlight beam mode and turning it to the fourth position switches on the spotlight and floodlight simultaneously. When the headlamp is switched off, it will turn on to the last used red light mode by pressing the button twice quickly. Holding the button down will turn the red light off again.
Switching power modes of any reflector are cycled by pressing a button located on the side of the rotary switch.
Memory for last set power mode - The headlamp has a memory and will always turn on in the last set power mode of the selected reflector with the exception of the highest mode of the main beam and wide beam, instead it will turn on in the second highest mode of that reflector.
Intelligent Power Reduction - The headlamp has a built-in protection circuit. When the spotlight approaches the illuminated object (to less than 60 mm) for more than 1.5 s, it will automatically reduce the power to low mode to prevent damage to the object from strong light and glare from reflected light. When the reflector is away from the illuminated object for more than 0.8 s, the headlamp automatically resumes the previously used power level. On/Off Smart Proximity Sensor - Press the side button on the headlamp for 6 seconds when the headlamp is off. Turning on the feature is indicated by the headlamp flashing two times in low mode. Turning the function off is indicated by the headlamp flashing eight times in low mode.
Intelligent Overheat Protection - When using the headlamp on high power modes for long periods of time, a large amount of heat will accumulate. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 60°C or higher, it will automatically reduce the power by several lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60 °C, the power will gradually increase again.
Warning of low battery in the headlamp - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. When the lowest power setting is reached, the battery charge indicator will flash to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.
Charging the headlamp - Remove the dust cap and plug the USB-C charging cable into the headlamp's charging port. Replace the dust cap when charging is complete. During the charging process, the four indicators on the top of the headlamp gradually light up and flash. Four steady on indicates that charging is complete. Normal charging time is 4 hours with a 5 V/2.5 A USB power supply for a fully discharged headlamp.
Note: The headlamp can be used in all modes while charging with a 9 V USB source. The maximum output of the high beam headlamp will be limited to 1200 lumens and the wide beam headlamp to 700 lumens. While charging with a 5 V USB source, the headlamp can only be used in the two lowest modes of any reflector. The headlamp will flash several times when first switched on after plugging in the USB power supply to indicate the charging voltage applied. Two flashes indicate charging with 5 V and four flashes indicate charging with 9 V. When powered from a USB power supply, the headlamp can be used without the battery inside. Only charge the original Fenix ARB-L18 batteries in the headlamp.
Battery charge indication in headlamp - After briefly pressing any button (headlamp must be off), the battery charge LED indicator on the top of the headlamp will activate. Four lit LEDs indicate that the battery is 80-100% charged, three lit 60-80%, two lit 40-60%, one lit 20-40% and one flashing LED indicates that the battery is less than 20% charged.
Changing the battery- Unscrew the headlamp cap and insert the battery with the plus pole facing the headlamp. Then fully tighten the headlamp cap again.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, it will violate the warranty.
- Use only high quality Li-ion rechargeable batteries or disposable CR123A batteries for power supply.
- If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost dead – replace them or charge the battery.
- The contacts are dirty – clean them with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.
Warranty
Five years warranty on the headlamp, two years on the battery.
