Fenix E18R V2.0 is a rechargeable miniature pocket LED flashlight with short-term extreme power up to 1200 lumens (ANSI). This model uses the top-of-the-line Luminus SST-40 diode as the light source. With a length of only 67 millimeters and a weight of 56 grams (including battery), it can be carried with you at all times - in your pocket, on your keys or in your purse. It is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery RCR123A, which can be charged in the flashlight via USB-C connector from any USB source (e.g. computer, powerbank, USB source in the car). For emergency use, a disposable CR123A battery can also be used.
The high quality of design, durability and waterproofness are the main features. The flashlight is equipped with a removable clip and the end cap is equipped with a magnet. The unique innovation is a special collimator, which creates a light cone with an astonishing range of 146 meters. The collimator is made with technology used in the auto industry and its height is only 3 millimeters, less than half that of commonly used optics. The flashlight is destined by its characteristics to serve as a reliable little companion that is always at hand. You will always be pleased with this useful gift.
All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.
Fenix E18R V2.0 flashlight specifications
- Premium performance Luminus SST-40 LED with 50,000 hours lifetime is used.
- Six power modes: 1200 lumens (30 minutes) -> 350 lumens (1.3 hours) -> 150 lumens (2.5 hours) -> 30 lumens (15 hours) -> 1 lumen (200 hours) -> strobe (1200 lumens)
- Duration times are measured with the included Fenix ARB-L16-700P Li-ion battery with 700 mAh capacity.
- Operation of the highest mode is limited to prevent damage to the flashlight. If the internal temperature reaches 60°C, the power is automatically reduced.
- Digitally controlled output for constant brightness.
- Uses a single rechargeable 3.7V Li-ion battery RCR123A/16340, which can be recharged in the flashlight via the USB-C connector.
- The charging time for a fully discharged battery is approximately 80 minutes.
- A disposable CR123A battery can be used as an emergency (it cannot be charged in the flashlight and the maximum output will be lower).
- Protection against accidental insertion of the battery in reverse (reverse polarity).
- The flashlight has memory and turns on in the last used mode (not valid for the highest mode and strobe).
- Magnetic end, the flashlight can be attached to anything iron.
- Special super-thin collimator only 3 mm high, made with technology used in the auto industry.
- Light cone with a range of up to 146 meters (5397 cd).
- Dimensions 6.7 cm (length) x 2.2 cm (body diameter) x 2.2 cm (reflector diameter).
- Weight 56 grams (including battery).
- Made of aerospace hardened aluminum type A6061-T6, durable surface - Type III hard anodized.
- Resistant to drops from 1 meter.
- Shoulder and waterproof to IP68 standard (tested underwater at a depth of 2 meters).
- Capable of standing alone on a flat surface and serving as a candle.
- Includes a Fenix ARB-L16-700P battery pack, USB-C charging cable, lanyard and replacement o-ring.
- Optional accessories can be purchased, such as the AOD-S V2.0 diffuser (the clip must be removed from the flashlight to deploy; the diffuser then covers the button), wrist mount ALW-01, bike mount LockBlocks, silicone holder, LampFix helmet mount, USB mains adapter and USB car adapter or replacement battery RCR123A with micro-USB connector or replacement battery with higher capacity 800 mAh.
Using of the Fenix E18R V2.0 flashlight
To turn on or off, hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds. You can switch power modes at any time during operation by pressing the side button. To switch to flash mode, hold the side button for approximately 1.2 seconds.
The control button can be locked to prevent from switching on spontaneously, e.g. when transporting in luggage – press the control button twice quickly (within 0.5 seconds). Press the button again twice quickly to unlock it.
Intelligent overheat protection - Due to the flashlight's high power of 1200 lumens, the flashlight does experience temperature rise. If the temperature exceeds 60°C, an automatic power reduction occurs. Once the temperature drops below 60°C, the highest power output can be used again.
Charging - Unclip the rubber cap of the charging connector on the side of the flashlight and plug in the included cable (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer or USB adapter to the mains or car. During charging, the indicator LED flashes red. When fully charged, it will light up green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Battery charge indication - When the flashlight is off, a short press of the side button activates the indication LED in the flashlight's side button for three seconds. If the indicator LED is green the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If it is red, the battery is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% battery capacity remaining.
Discharged Battery Warning (only functional when using Li-ion RCR123A) – the flashlight will gradually switch to the lowest mode automatically and the indicator LED in the button will start flashing red.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed part in the head of the flashlight yourself, it will violate the warranty.
- Use only high quality 3V CR123A batteries and RCR123A Li-ion batteries to prevent damage to the flashlight, for example due to leakage of substances from the battery.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight is flickering, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is dead – charge it.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty – clean them with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.
- The body of the flashlight is loose, tighten it.
Warranty
Five years warranty on the flashlight, two years on the battery.
