The Fenix E28R V2.0 rechargeable pocket flashlight offers lumen output up to 1700 lumens (ANSI) and range up to 273 meters. It is one of Fenix's most powerful flashlights powered by a single 18650 Li-ion battery, which recharges via the USB-C port directly on the flashlight body without having to remove the battery. In an emergency, however, the flashlight can also be powered by two disposable CR123A batteries. Compared to the first generation, it also has a handy magnetic endcap for attaching to anything iron. The E28R V2.0 has seven different lighting modes, which allow you to choose between high power and long life (almost 11 days of continuous lighting), there are also strobe for crisis situations and a warning light (Breathing light) in the button, where the battery charge indication is also located. This flashlight is an ideal lighting tool with an excellent ratio of high performance, quality and price. Its features make it suitable for a wide range of outdoor, sport, work and professional activities.
All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Using the flashlight
From manufacture, there may be an insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery. Remove it from the battery before first use.
To turn on or off, hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds. The flashlight will always turn on in the last selected mode with the exception of the highest mode and strobe. You can switch power modes at any time during operation by pressing the side button. The strobe can be activated by holding the button for 1.2 seconds. The control button can be locked to prevent it from switching on spontaneously, e.g. when transporting in luggage - press the control button two times quickly (within 0.5 seconds). To unlock, press the button again two times quickly. Accidental switching on can also be prevented by loosening the body of the flashlight.
The 1 lumen light around the switch button can be illuminated by pressing the button three times quickly with the flashlight off. A subsequent press of the button switches between four functions – red light -> green light -> red pulsing -> green pulsing.
Overheat protection - if the temperature exceeds 60 °C, the power will be automatically reduced. Once the temperature drops below 60°C, the highest power modes can be used again.
Charging - flip off the dust cap and plug the USB-C charging cable into the flashlight's charging port. When charging is complete, reseal the dust cap. Normal charging time is 3 hours with a 5V/2A USB power supply for a fully discharged flashlight. During charging, the flashlight can be used in the 5 and 50 lumen modes. During charging, the indicator LED in the button is red. When fully charged, it will light up green.
Battery charge indication - if the indicator LED is green, the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If the LED is red, the battery is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% capacity remaining. Note: This feature is only active when using 18650 batteries.
Discharged battery warning - if the voltage drops below the set level the flashlight will reduce the brightness to a lower level until it reaches 5 lumens. When the lowest power level is reached, the LED indicator in the button will start flashing red to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. This feature is only active when using 18650 batteries.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the head of the flashlight yourself, it will violate the warranty.
- If using disposable CR123A batteries, do not attempt to charge them in the flashlight.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight is blinking, not switching to higher modes, or not lighting up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost dead – replace them or charge the battery.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty – clean them with a sponge dipped in alcohol.
- The end cap is loose – add lubricant to the sealing rings and tighten.
Warranty
Five years warranty on the flashlight, two years warranty on the battery.
