The second generation of the very popular rechargeable headlamp Fenix HM51R Ruby V2.0 offers a luminous flux up to 700 lumens (ANSI) of neutral white light ( 4500 K) with a range up to 120 meters and is also equipped with red LEDs. It is powered by one rechargeable battery type RCR123A (included in the package), which is charged directly in the flashlight via modern USB-C connector, alternatively a disposable lithium battery CR123A (with limited max. output to 150 lumens) can be used for power supply. There is also an indicator LED in the control button, thanks to which you will always know when to recharge the battery. The end of the torch is magnetic, so it can be easily attached to anything iron. The HM51R has nine different lighting modes that allow you to choose between high performance and long endurance (up to 120 hours). The flashlight is powered by a digitally controlled constant current to guarantee a constant light output even when the voltage in the battery is reduced (while it is slowly discharging).
The all-metal construction ensures high resistance, optimal cooling and at the same time is fully waterproof according to the IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters underwater. The practicality of the headlamp increases the possibility of removing the light from the headlamp holder and using it as a small flashlight. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with a removable steel clip, so you can easily attach it to a pocket or strap. The Fenix HM51R V2.0 headlamp is the ideal companion for a variety of sports activities, trips to nature, home and work.
The Fenix HM51R headlamp is a limited edition based on the Fenix HM50R headlamp and offers a number of improvements. For example, a warmer shade of light, a magnetic end, constant output regulation in most modes, more red light modes and more. All parameters of the flashlight (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, range and impact resistance) are measured in compliance with the ANSI/ NEMA FL 1-2009.

Using the Fenix HM51R V2.0 headlamp
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery. Before first use, remove it from the battery.
- When the headlamp is off, it will turn on in the last used white light mode by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
- When the headlamp is turned off, it will turn on in the last used red light mode by pressing the button twice quickly.
- When the headlamp is on, it is turned off by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
If the headlamp is switched on, short presses of the button can cyclically switch power modes in the order of 3 - 50 - 150 - 400 - 700 lumens (when switched on to white light) or red 1 lumen - red 5 lumens - red flashing - red SOS (when switched on to red light). The flashlight has a memory and will always turn on in the last used mode (applies to white and red light).
Protection against overheating: Operation at the highest mode is limited to 1 minute, after which the output gradually decreases to approx. 500 lumens within 5 minutes. If the internal temperature of the lamp rises above 60°C, it will automatically start to further reduce the power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. As soon as the lamp temperature drops below 60°C, the power will gradually increase again. Operation in 400 lumen mode is limited to 5 minutes, after which the output gradually decreases to 200 lumens over 5 minutes.
Battery charge status indication: After a short press of the button (headlight must be switched off), the LED indicator in the button is activated. If the indicator diode is green, the battery is charged to more than 80%. Green flashing means 50-80% capacity. If it glows red, it is 20-50% charged. Blinking red means less than 20% battery capacity is left. The indication works correctly only with rechargeable RCR123A / 16340 batteries.
Charging: Unfold the rubber cover of the charging connector and plug the included cable into the flashlight (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank or USB adapter into the mains or car (not included in the package) ). The side button lights up red while charging and turns green when fully charged. After charging the flashlight, seal the charging connector again with a rubber cap. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 1.5 hours. In an emergency, the flashlight can be used while charging, but only the 3 lumen white mode and the red modes will be available.
Discharged battery warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically discharged, the indicator in the button will start flashing red. However, the headlamp will continue to shine until the battery is completely discharged. Note: the low battery warning is only calibrated to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Locking the headlamp against unintentional switching on: Loosen the battery cap of the headlamp by a quarter turn, this will break the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on. The button can also be locked electronically – with the headlamp off, hold down the button for 3 seconds. After locking, the flashlight flashes red. To unlock, hold the button for 3 seconds again.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed part in the head of the lamp yourself, this will void the warranty.
- If using a disposable CR123A battery, do not try to charge it in the flashlight.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings must also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost empty – charge it or replace it.
- The contacts inside the lamp are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The back of the lamp is loose – tighten it.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the flashlight, two-year warranty on the battery.
