Rechargeable headlamp Fenix HP25R V2.0 has two reflectors with output up to 1600 lumens, while spotlight with top LED Luminus SST-40 creates a well-focused light beam with throw up to 290 meters and the second reflector with powerful LED Cree XP-G3 S4 has a light beam very wide and smooth up to a distance of 50 meters. The luminous flux of the spotlight is up to 1600 lumens, the reflector with a floodlight offers a maximum output of 400 lumens and a neutral shade of light. The control of both LEDs is independent of each other, the light from both reflectors can be combined at will to achieve a luminous flux up to 1600 lumens (when both reflectors are turned on at the same time, their maximum output is 1200 + 400 lumens). The spotlight offers 5 light modes and three wide. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with a red LED with an output of 5 lumens, which can be used to send an SOS signal in an emergency.
One Li-ion battery 21700 with capacity 5000 mAh is used for power supply, which is included in the package and is charged via modern USB-C connector directly in the flashlight. This battery is located in a case on the back of the head and the headlamp is thus well balanced on the head.
The headlamp is made of hardened aluminum and durable plastics, its construction is fully dustproof and waterproof according to the IP66 standard and also resistant to falls from a height of 2 meters . At the same time, it is equipped with the function of extending endurance.
The HP25R V2.0 headlamp, which replaces the older HP25R version, is suitable for anyone who wants a strong and reliable partner in extreme conditions due to its high performance and durability parameters. It will work great for e.g. rescue workers, but also for athletes, climbers, tourists and other outdoor enthusiasts.
All parameters of the headlamp (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofing, range and impact resistance) are measured in compliance with the ANSI/ NEMA FL 1-2009.
Fenix HP25R V2.0 headlamp parameters
- The light source in the long-range reflector is a white LED Luminus SST-40, the source in the wide reflector is a Cree XP-G3 S4 with a neutral shade of light, and there is also a red Everlight 2835 LED. All with a lifespan of 50,000 h lighting.
- A total of ten performance modes:
- Spotlight: 1600 lumens (2 hours*) -> 1000 lumens (4 hours*) -> 400 lumens (8 hours) -> 150 lumens (24 hours) -> 50 lumens (56 hours).
- Floodlight: 400 lumens (8 hours) -> 150 lumens (24 hours) -> 5 lumens (400 hours).
- Red light: 5 lumens (400 hours) -> red SOS signal 5 lumens (800 hours).
- Spotlight for a perfect light cone with 290 meters (20849 cd) range.
- Floodlight with range up to a distance of 50 meters (605 cd).
- * Prolonged use of the two highest light modes may heat up the headlamp and activate the intelligent overheat protection function, which will automatically reduce power.
- Uses Li-ion battery 21700 with capacity 5000 mAh (included in the package). Alternatively, an 18650 type Li-ion battery can also be used for power supply, but it is necessary to purchase the ALF-18 reduction.
- Charging via USB-C connector, charging time for a fully discharged battery is approx. 4 hours.
- The switches are protected against accidental switching on in luggage.
- The battery is located in a separate case on the back of the head, so the headlamp is well balanced on the head.
- The reflector can be tilted in a few steps and thereby set the desired lighting direction.
- Made of durable plastic and aircraft hardened aluminum.
- Impact resistant to drops from a height of 2 meters.
- Dimensions of the headlamp including holders: 6 cm x 4.7 cm x 3.3 cm.
- Dimensions of the battery case: 9.9 cm x 4.1 cm x 3.95 cm.
- Weight 238 grams (including straps and battery).
- Waterproof and dustproof according to the IP66 standard (spraying with strong streams of water from all directions).
- Toughened ultra clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating for high beam reflector.
- Package includes headlamp, charging USB-C cable, Li-ion battery 21700 with capacity 5000 mAh, four clips Fenix ALD-02 for attaching the headlamp to the helmet, spare o-rings, cable clips.
- A case Fenix APB-30 and a set of black straps without reflective elements AFH-02 can also be purchased for the headlamp, main strap, top strap.
Using the HP25R V2.0 headlamp
There may be an insulating cap on the battery from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.
The spotlight is switched on by holding down the right button (approx. 0.5s), the wide reflector or the red light is turned on by holding down the left button (0.5s). Pressing the right button cycles through the modes of the spotlight in the order: 50, 150, 400, 1000, 1600 lumens. Pressing the left button switches the modes of the wide reflector and red light in the order: white 5, 150, 400 lumens, red 5 lumens, SOS signal. Both reflectors are turned off by holding down the corresponding button, and after turning off the headlamp remembers the last set mode (except for turning off in the highest mode of the spotlight , then next time it will turn on in the second highest mode). Both reflectors can be switched on at the same time.
Battery charge status indication - After a short press of any button (headlight must be switched off), the LED indicator of the battery charge status between the buttons is activated. If the green light is on, it means the battery is 85-100% charged, if the green light is flashing, it means the battery is 50-85% charged. If the red light turns on, the battery is 25-50% charged, and if it starts flashing, the battery is critical and the headlamp is less than 25% charged.
The control buttons can be locked to prevent spontaneous activation, e.g. when transported in luggage - in the off state, press both buttons and hold them for at least 3 seconds, then the headlamp will flash red to indicate lock. To unlock, you need to hold both buttons again for three seconds.
Protection against overheating - if the temperature of the headlamp exceeds 60°C, it will automatically reduce the power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. As soon as the temperature drops below 60°C, the performance will gradually increase again.
Low battery warning - the headlamp gradually automatically reduces the number of available power modes. When the batteries are completely discharged, only the lowest mode will be available. If the battery status indicator starts flashing during lighting, the battery is almost empty.
Charging - unfold the cover of the USB-C connector on the battery case and plug in the included charging cable, plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank or USB power adapter or USB car adapter (not included in the package). During charging, the LED on the battery case glows red. When fully charged, it will stay green. Charging a completely discharged battery takes about 4 hours.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Use only high-quality Li-ion batteries.
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- Batteries are almost dead – replace them or charge the battery.
- The contacts in the battery holder are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the headlamp, two years on the battery.
