The Fenix LD12R pocket flashlight offers a light output of up to 600 lumens and a range of 186 meters in the main reflector. It is powered by a 14500 800 mAh Li-ion battery, which is charged directly in the flashlight via a USB-C connector hidden under the flashlight's screwhead. The charging connector is thus perfectly protected against water and dirt. Alternatively, one disposable AA or NiMH battery can also be used for power supply (limited to a maximum output of 150 lumens).
The main spotlight is also complemented by a secondary side light with up to 100 lumens of output and a wide light cone for short distance illumination (e.g. for reading, work, etc.). The flashlight also features a sturdy clip with integrated magnet, so you can easily hook it into your pocket or belt, or attach it to an iron surface and keep your hands free. In power saving mode with 1 lumen output, it also offers a very long runtime of up to 110 hours of light on a single charge.
The Fenix LD12R is a versatile handheld flashlight suitable for everyday carry, home, cottage or hiking. Thanks to the magnetic clip and side light, it also excels as a work flashlight.
All flashlight parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproofing, throw and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Using the Fenix LD12R LED flashlight
Remove the insulating cap from the battery before first use.
To turn on or off, fully press the flashlight's tail button. To switch between the main and side reflectors, when the light is on, loosen the head of the flashlight until it turns off (about a quarter turn), then tighten it again. This will switch between the main and side reflectors. You can change the power modes with the flashlight on by pressing the button halfway in the end cap.
The flashlight has memory for main reflector power modes. If you turn it off with the button and turn it back on in more than 1 second, it will turn on in the last set mode.
Charging - Loosen the flashlight head by 3 to 4 turns to expose the charging port and plug the USB-C charging cable into the flashlight's charging port. Tighten the head again when charging is complete. Normal charging time is approximately 2 hours for a fully discharged flashlight. The flashlight cannot be used while charging. During charging, the indicator next to the charging connector glows red, after charging it glows green. If you use a disposable or NiMH battery, do not attempt to charge it in the flashlight!
Indication of battery charge status - innext to the charging connector there is a battery charge indication LED (it is necessary to unscrew the head of the flashlight by 3-4 turns). After pressing the button, the indication will light up for 3 seconds. If the indicator LED is green the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If the light is red, the battery is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% battery capacity remaining. This function is only active when using 14500 Li-ion batteries.
Intelligent overheat protection - When using the flashlight on the highest power mode for a long time, a large amount of heat will accumulate. The flashlight will then automatically reduce power to lower the temperature.
Low battery warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the flashlight will reduce the brightness to a lower level until it reaches the lowest mode. After reaching the lowest power level, it will flash three times every 5 minutes to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. This function is only active when using a Li-ion battery type 14500.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed part yourself, it will violate the warranty.
- Remove the alkaline battery from the flashlight if you will not be using it for an extended period of time or if the batteries are already dead. This will prevent the risk of leakage and subsequent damage to the flashlight.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight is flickering, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is low – charge or replace it.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are clogged – clean them with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.
- Head or back of the flashlight is loose – tighten them.
Warranty
Five years warranty on the flashlight and two years on the battery.
