Using the Fenix PD25R flashlight
From manufacture, there may be an insulating cap on the battery inside the flashlight. Remove it from the battery before first use.
To turn on, press the tactical switch located on the end of the flashlight, press the button halfway for immediate activation. Press the side button at the head of the flashlight to switch between power modes at any time during operation. To switch to strobe mode, hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds.
Charging - unscrew the protective nut underneath the flashlight head and use the included USB-C cable to plug it into a computer, network USB adapter or USB car adapter (not included). Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can be used for charging. During charging, the indicator LED in the button is red, after a full charge it glows green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 2 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so the flashlight can be recharged at any time. During charging, the flashlight can only be lit in the lowest mode by holding the side button for 0.5 seconds.
Intelligent overheat protection - if the temperature of the flashlight rises above 60°C, it will automatically start to reduce power in gradual steps.
Battery charge status indication- each time the flashlight is switched on, the indicator LED in the flashlight's side button is activated for three seconds. If the indicator LED is green the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If it is red, the battery is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% battery capacity remaining (only works when using RCR123A / 16340 Li-ion battery).
Battery Low Warning - the flashlight gradually switches automatically to the lowest mode, then the red indicator LED in the button flashes red in the lowest mode. This indicates the need to charge the battery or replace it with a fully charged one.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed part in the head of the flashlight yourself, it will violate the warranty.
- Use only high quality CR123A or RCR123A batteries.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after extended use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost dead – charge the battery or replace it.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty – clean them with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.
- The back of the flashlight is loose – tighten it.
Warranty
Five years warranty on the flashlight, two years on the battery.
