Zooming rechargeable headlamp Fenix HL40R delivers a luminous flux up to 600 lumens (ANSI) and a range up to 147 meters. Power is provided by a built-in lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 2000 mAh, which is charged via a micro-USB connector directly in the headlamp. The light source is a modern LED Cree XP-L HI V2, its light is directed by special TIR (Total Internal Reflection) optics with the possibility of adjusting the width of the light cone (zoom function).
A total of 7 power modes are available, including an SOS flash mode for emergency situations. Despite the adjustable optics, the headlamp retains water resistance according to the IP66 standard, so it can withstand heavy rain without any problems. The headlamp strap is equipped with reflective elements that ensure good all-round visibility when moving on the road. Thanks to the weight of only 130 grams, the Fenix HL40R is excellent for hiking, search and rescue work, as a headlamp for running, camping, photography, a headlamp for fishermen and other activities.
All parameters of the headlamp (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofing, range and impact resistance) are measured in compliance with the ANSI/ NEMA FL 1-2009.
Parameters of the Fenix HL40R headlamp
- A powerful white Cree XP-L HI V2 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours is used.
- Seven lighting modes: BURST 600 lumens (switches to the previous lighting mode after 1 minute) -> 300 lumens (4.5 hours) -> 130 lumens (11 hours) -> 70 lumens (22 hours) -> 30 lumens (50 hours) -> 4 lumens (200 hours) -> SOS 30 lumens (100 hours).
- TIR optics with focus function creates a cone with glow 43 - 147 meters (472 cd - 5426 cd).
- Digitally regulated for constant brightness.
- Uses a built-in lithium-polymer battery with 2000 mAh capacity.
- Four-part battery charge status indicator.
- Recharging via micro USB connector.
- Convenient control using two switches.
- The headlamp can be tilted in the holder and thereby set the desired lighting direction.
- Made of durable plastic and aircraft aluminum alloy.
- The strap with reflective elements increases passive safety, the double back part increases the comfort of wearing on the head.
- Impact resistant to drops from a height of 1 meter.
- Dimensions: 6.8 cm x 5.4 cm x 4.2 cm.
- Weight 130 grams (including battery and straps).
- Waterproof and dustproof according to the IP66 standard (spraying with strong streams of water from all directions).
- The package includes a strap and a charging USB cable.
- The headlamp can be purchased with a case Fenix APB-20, Fenix APB-30, USB power adapter and USB car adapter, strap.
Using the Fenix HL40R headlamp
Holding the right (main) button for 0.5 seconds will always switch the headlamp to 70 lumen mode. With further presses of this button, you can switch between 30 - 70 - 130 - 300 lumen modes at any time during operation. Burst mode (600 lumens) is activated by holding down the right button for 1.2 seconds (even if the headlamp is off). Pressing the right button again will return the headlamp to its original mode.
Holding down the left (smaller) button for 0.5 seconds will always switch the headlamp to 4 lumen mode (suitable for e.g. reading). With further presses of this button, you can switch between the 4 lumen and SOS modes.
The width of the cone is adjusted by rotating the ring around the optic. Turning clockwise narrows the cone, counter-clockwise widens it.
Battery charge status indication - after a short press of the left button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED indicator of the battery charge status on the top of the headlamp is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is more than 80% charged, three lit 60-80%, two 40-60%, one 20-40% and one blinking means the battery is less than 20% charged.
Protection against overheating - operation in Burst mode is limited to 1 minute at a time, after which the headlamp returns to the previous lighting mode.
The control buttons can be locked to prevent spontaneous activation, e.g. when transporting in luggage - hold both buttons pressed for 3 seconds. Then the flashlight will flash. To unlock, hold both buttons again for 3 seconds.
Charging
- Unfold the rubber cover of the micro USB connector on the back of the headlamp and use the included USB cable to connect it to a computer, USB network adapter or USB car adapter. Any mobile phone charger with a micro USB connector can also be used for charging.
- During charging, the four indicator diodes on the top light up gradually, after full charge they all light up continuously.
- The charging time of a fully discharged battery takes about 4 hours.
- The battery used does not suffer from a memory effect, so the headlamps can be recharged at any time.
- Thoroughly seal the USB connector cap after each charge.
- During charging, the headlamp can be turned on, but only in 4 lumen mode.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost empty – charge it.
Warranty
Legal warranty 2 years.
