The newest gem from Fenix
5.3.2025.
Introducing the new Fenix HM75R Topaz headlamp, which complements the exclusive Fenix headlamp range, which has been modified specifically for the local market.
The Fenix HM75R Topaz model is the latest addition to the successful HM61R Amber and the successful HM51R Ruby models, which have already proved very popular. Both versions are now available in their second generation. Development to meet user needs was the best way forward, and the Fenix HM75R headlamp has been further improved along the same lines. What has changed to make it suitable for most users?
.
The HM75R Topaz version allows for simultaneous activation of both spotlight and floodlight reflectors.
Design and construction
Both headlamps share the same robust body, which has high impact, dust and water resistance (IP68 – water resistance up to 2 meters). The basic material is magnesium alloy, which is lighter than aluminum. Thanks to the ergonomic design and low weight, both headlamps are comfortable, even during prolonged use.
The Fenix HM series headlamps also work underwater.
The Fenix HM75R and HM75R Topaz also feature a very bright red light with up to 120 lumens of lumen output.
Lumen output
The HM75R and HM75R Topaz headlamps feature a wide and distant reflector and a very bright red light. The HM75R's spotlight reflector is a cool daylight white, while the wide reflector is a neutral white. For Topaz, we have chosen warmer shades that are more pleasing to the eye and less distorting. The spotlight reflector gives a neutral white light, while the wide reflector gives a warm white (around 3000 K) which provides extremely high colour fidelity (CRI 94.5) for a great experience.

Using
The HM75R Topaz offers a different control than the standard version. In the standard version, the lights are switched on and off by a rotary switch: spot beam, wide beam, red beam. With Topaz, the red light can be switched on directly from off with two clicks. The rotary switch is used to switch on first the spotlight, then the floodlight, and finally both beams at the same time. This combined mode is ideal for moving around in the field, as it allows you to see both the surroundings with the diffused light and distant objects with the stronger centre light.
The combination of the far and wide HM75R Topaz reflector allows for better orientation in the field.
Power supply and charging
The HM75R is powered by a rechargeable 18650 3400 mAh lithium-ion battery inside the headlamp. In addition, it has a removable rear battery housing with a 21700 5000 mAh battery that significantly extends the runtimes. The battery holder can be attached to the strap with a metal clip and can even be used as a power bank for charging USB devices. The USB-C cable that connects the headlamp to the battery is equipped with locking clips to prevent the cable from falling out. The package also includes a 1 meter extender USB-C cable, which allows you to hide the battery holder under a jacket, for example, to protect the battery from excessively cooling down in winter.

With the extension cable, you can attach the power bank to a belt or pocket...
...or put it in your backpack.
The basic Topaz package does not include the rear battery holder and extension cable, so the headlamp itself is cheaper. Inside the Topaz headlamp is a 18650 4000 mAh capacity battery. For someone who doesn't like the battery cap on the back or is bothered by cables around the head, this will be the one. If you need these, they can be purchased separately. The rear battery holder can also be used separately, as a minimalist power bank, for charging other devices. Both headlamps can be used without batteries, only powered externally via a USB-C cable. Alternatively, you can buy a second spare battery to swap in the headlamp.
The HM75R Topaz basically has a larger battery capacity in the headlamp.
External power supply and extension cable
should be purchased separately if required.
Both headlamps can be operated without battery, only from an external powerbank via USB-C cable (with slightly reduced maximum power output).
The lights can be powered on without an internal battery – only when connected to an external battery case.
However, this reduces the maximum output to 1200 lumens.
Both strapless headlamps can be easily attached to the helmet using the ALG-03 adhesive holder
or to the NVG mount with the ALG-04.
You can also easily hang the headlamp without straps on a molle fastener or on a backpack strap.
Differences of the unique Topaz version compared to the standard HM75R
- The Topaz has a combined mode that allows both reflectors to light up at the same time.
- The HM75R Topaz features a newer 18650 battery with 4000 mAh capacity, while the standard version has a 3400 mAh battery.
- The Topaz does not come with an external battery holder and extending USB cable, making it cheaper. If required, these can be purchased separately.
- The HM75R Topaz's spotlight reflector has a warmer, neutral-tinted LED (around 4500 K), while the standard version has a cooler white light.
- The wide reflector in the Topaz features a warmer LED (approx. 3000 K) which provides a high CRI (94.5) colour fidelity.
- The HM75R Topaz's red light can be activated immediately from off state with two clicks.
- The HM75R Topaz's weakest red light mode is 2 lumens, but the flashing mode has been boosted to 10 lumens with a higher frequency, providing a more effective warning function.

Which is the best choice?
As in most cases, choosing the best headlamp is a matter of personal preference, and you won't go wrong with any of the headlamps compared. As you can see from the information above, these are great universal headlamps. Thanks to the bright red light, they are popular as hunting or fishing headlamps. Soldiers, for example, use headlamps for the same reason. Their performance makes them excellent headlamps for rescuers. You will also use them at work, both in the hobby workshop and in handicrafts, especially thanks to the diffused light of the floodlight reflector. Sportsmen will appreciate the high performance and long operating time, so they also use these headlamps for running, skiing, cross-country skiing and cycling. The headlamps are perfect for hiking and camping. We must not forget cave explorers. In short, we cannot think of any activity that cannot be carried out with the HM75R and the Topaz version. Such a universal model is definitely worth the investment.
