The Fenix 18650 3400 mAh rechargeable battery with its own charging USB-C connector (ARB-L18-3400U V2.0). It can be charged by connecting the cable to the USB-C connector (e.g. from a computer or mobile phone charger) or in a charger that can accommodate Li-ion batteries with a length of 72 millimeters. Li-ion rechargeable batteries are characterized by very high capacity, do not suffer from memory effect or self-discharge.
Be warned, this battery is about 72 millimeters long due to the added USB-C charging connector, making it significantly longer than the regular 18650 Li-ion type. So it only fits in some flashlights, headlamps and chargers. We have verified compatibility in the following Fenix flashlights and headlamps: Fenix PD35 V3.0, Fenix E28R, Fenix LD30, Fenix TK11 TAC, Fenix TK35 UE V2.0 (5000 lumens), Fenix CL26R, Fenix CL30R, Fenix HM61R, Fenix HM61R V2.0.
The Fenix battery protection consists of internal safety mechanisms and protective electronics. Added electronic circuits prevent the cell from overcharging, over-discharging and against short circuit or over-current draw. If the battery electronics assess that the limits have been reached, they safely disconnect the cell.
Internal protection consists of a separator, over-temperature protection (PTC thermal protection) and a special anti-blast valve. In the event that the gas pressure in the cell exceeds a certain limit, the internal separator separates the electrodes inside the battery and thus de-facto interrupts the exothermic reaction and the anti-blast valve releases the excess gas pressure outside the battery. The combination of electronic and mechanical (temperature and pressure) protection makes Fenix batteries among the safest Li-ion batteries available.

Charging via USB-C connector
Plug the USB cable into the side USB-C connector, during charging the indicator light on the top of the battery is red. When the battery reaches full charge, it glows blue. When using a USB power supply with a current of 1500 mA or higher, the charging time is approximately 2.5 hours.
